Project Goals

China has played a key role in the creation of a range of multilateral institutions and initiatives, from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to the Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation. The project "China's Bid for Hegemony?" aims to provide a comprehensive institutional mapping of China's institutional creation efforts, and to examine what kind of social purpose these institutions serve.
